Daddy Daze

Gabby is in a serious Daddy phase right now. When he finally got home from "wuk" as Gabby says, she proceeded to climb up on top of him and announce "dada!!" She gave him hugs and kisses. In fact she loves to kiss everything now. It is so darn cute. She gets up in the morning and chases around the cat until he is close enough where she can grab his tail and lean down to kiss him all before he extends a claw to bat her away. She kisses the dogs who just sort of stare at her, she kisses her new greatest love, this pair of boys Nemo swimpants that Mom bought her at Wal-mart that she showers with and sleeps with and today she was even pushing them in her baby stroller. She kisses her riding lawnmower which just makes me crack up. Basically if it means something to Gabby, its gonna get a kiss. She gets out of bed asking for Dada or Nama because Mom visits often and especially after the weekend, Gabby can't understand why Dada must be at work and not available for the inevitable kiss she saved for him.

Well today during lunch after we said our prayer and Gabby thanked God for "wheels" (wiggles), she began to say "dada" over and over to the point that we finally called him because I just felt like she really needed to hear his voice. Well she got on the phone and looked like she was thirteen. I really don't know what dada was saying but Gabby was rambling on and on laughing, talking and speaking gibberish trying so hard to tell dada what we were doing. Amongst the gibberish, I did hear "dotdog" (hotdog) and "bapplesauce" (apple sauce) because that was the lunch we were eating. I have never seen her act like that on the phone before, tossing her head back in laughter thinking everything dada said was so funny. She just looked so focused and then suddenly she just handed the phone to me as if to say, "oh that dada!"

Rob was laughing about it tonight saying wow she was talking so fast and I literally couldn't make out a single word. It was just really cute that she missed dada so much and wanted him to be a part of a our day. She sure does love him and it is really cute when Rob comes in and we have a hug together, Gabby usually comes running over yelling, "Babby" because she wants to be in our hug so we do a family hug. Then she follows Daddy around wanting to unlace his shoes or be of some service to him. What a doll!
